The Collin College Farmersville Campus will honor area veterans with handmade quilts during a Veteran’s Day celebration known as Quilts of Valor at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Farmersville Campus Library, located at 501 S. Collin Parkway in Farmersville.

This is a partnership with the Quilters Guild of Farmersville as each nominated veteran will be presented with a handmade quilt as a recognition for their service.

“I am thrilled to celebrate and commemorate our veterans in collaboration with the Quilters Guild of Farmersville,” said Deborah Sellars, library branch manager at the Farmersville Campus. “Future generations will be given the opportunity to learn about the sacrifices service men and women take for the common good and in service to our country. I hope the community comes out to see some of our local heroes receive a unique quilt that was lovingly hand-sewn by our local quilt guild.”

Light refreshments will be provided at the event. For more information, contact Deborah Sellars at dsellars@tincyn.net.
